Isle Namanfin

Isle NamanfinThis island, situated within Lower Lough Erne, Co. Fermanagh is one of only two sites in Northern Ireland where Ivy broomrape is found. It is also important for birds such as the breeding garden warbler - a scarce species in Ireland - as well as curlew, song thrush, spotted flycatcher, bullfinch and reed bunting.

Access: Permission for access required from UWT. There are no visitor facilities on the island.

Getting There: The nearest jetty is at Rossigh, which is signposted off the B82 just north of Killadeas. A boat is required to reach the island.

Look out for: Ivy broomrape, curlew, bullfinch, garden warbler.
