About us

Northern Ireland's largest conservation charity, the Ulster Wildlife Trust has been a champion of the local environment for over 30 years.

We are working towards a healthy environment, rich in wildlife, valued by everyone.

Our work to protect Northern Ireland's wildlife has never been so important. Our wildlife and wild places are under serious pressure from housing, climate change, pollution and changes in land use and management of our coastal waters. While at the same time, a healthy environment is essential for the continued health and prosperity of, not only wildlife, but our society.

Through our twin visions - Living Landscapes and Living Seas - we aim to restore, recreate, reconnect our damaged countryside and to campaign for seas in which wildlife thrives, from the depths of the ocean to our coastal shallows.

The Ulster Wildlife Trust has close to 11,000 members. We are one of 47 Wildlife Trusts across the UK. The Wildlife Trusts partnership is the largest UK voluntary movement dedicated to protecting the full range of our native habitats and species. Individual Wildlife Trusts - like the Ulster Wildlife Trust - work for wildlife at a local and together we have a powerful national voice.
