Summer Schemes

The Ulster Wildlife Trust ran a series of exciting summer schemes this summer at Delamont Country Park, Killyleagh, Ecos Nature Reserve, Ballymena and Greenmount Campus, Antrim.

The children took part in a week full of fun activities, games, nature walks, crafts and practical workshops, such as bird box building and mini-beast hunts. They not only got closer to wildlife and spent lots of time outside, but they made new friends as well.

Here are some quotes from the children and their parents who participated this summer:

"I had a fantastic week and will definitely be back next year. I really loved seeing the baby bat!"

"Looking forward to 2009 already. Brilliant!"

"The summer scheme was excellent for my 11 year olds."

"The girls have learnt lots of interesting things about nature through fun activities. The best summer scheme they have ever been on!"
